Thailand should close Don Muang airport

The Thai government should focus efforts and resources on expanding Suvarnabhumi International Airport rather than refurbishing flood-battered Don Muang Airport, says the International Air Travel Association (IATA). Guenther Matschnigg, Senior Vice President for Safety, told The Nation that there were no advantages to be gained from having two separate airports, neither for airlines or passengers.
