Six Indonesian volcanoes on high alert

High alerts were now in place at six volcanoes in Indonesia. The country’s National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) said that increased activity had been detected at Mount Tambora in West Nusa Tenggara, Anak Ranakan in East Nusa Tenggara, Papandayan in West Java, Karangetang and Lokon in North Sulawesi, and Anak Krakatau (pictured) in the Sunda Strait, between Java and Sumatra.
