The world’s first CNN Café has opened its door in Seoul, South Korea. The new cafe, located inside the Jongno branch of the Young Poong Bookstore, is an initiative by Turner International Asia Pacific Inc and YBM Education, South Korea’s largest English education institution. It will serve coffee and light snacks, and offers free Wi-Fi, computers and printing services, as it aims to attract the growing number of self-employed people and students who work and study at coffee shops.
CNN content will be displayed across different platforms, including a live feed of the CNN International channel on a large screen, the latest CNN news wires on a digital ticker, and computer terminals featuring cnn.com and cnngo.com.
