The end of the decade is just around the corner, which calls for a serious celebration. While every New Year is significant, this particular occasion calls for stepping it up a notch. That’s why in-the-know Bangkokians are flocking to Waldorf Astoria Bangkok, one of the newest and most luxurious grande dames in the capital.

On New Year’s Eve, diners at the Front Room can indulge in a decadent seven-course tasting menu, complete with show-stopping highlights like King Kong crab served with chile milk and herb emulsion, foie gras terrine with orange purée and almonds, and slow-cooked rack of lamb with morels, potato and truffle sauce. This festive feast Bt5,500++ per person, plus an additional charge for an expertly chosen optional wine or juice pairing.

For those who prefer a lavish buffet spread, The Brasserie offers a phenomenal selection of delectable dishes including seared Hokkaido scallops, grilled tiger prawns, and grilled Wagyu tenderloin for Bt4,500++ per adult, or Bt2,500++ for children ages six to 12. Guests who wish to enjoy free-flow wine throughout the evening can do so for Bt6,500++ each.

Meanwhile, Bull & Bear is serving two truly extraordinary five-course dinners with a view. Opt for a refined Sunset Dinner between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m, or the Fireworks Dinner, which starts at 8:30 p.m. and runs into 2020. Both dinners are available for Bt4,000++ per person, but it’s worth splurging on the Bt10,000++ option, which includes wine pairings and a champagne toast.

Finally, for those who’d prefer to skip straight to the elegant party, both The Loft and The Champagne Bar are prepping to host two of the hottest soirées in town. The former features a live DJ, while the latter includes a live band. Both feature jaw-dropping views of the fireworks and plenty of bubbles. The Loft’s party includes a minimum spend of Bt5,000++ per person, while The Champagne Bar’s is Bt7,500++.
