Rooms at lyf Funan Singapore are well-suited for millennial-minded travelers.

lyf Funan Singapore, the flagship of this exciting new endeavor, officially began welcoming residents earlier this year. It is a part of CapitaLand’s Funan integrated development, which also includes an urban farm, rock climbing wall, cinema, theater, co-working spaces, unique shops and more.

Share communal meals with new friends at Bond, lyf's social kitchen.

From Burn, a social gymnasium, to Wash and Hang, a fun, chilled-out laundromat, there are plenty of places for lyf residents to connect and make friends. At the heart of it all is Bond, a social kitchen, where residents can connect over communal meals or take cooking classes on how to prepare traditional Singaporean dishes such as carrot cake. These hands-on courses are all part of the #lyfgoeslocal initiative, a program championed by lyf’s Ambassadors of Buzz, under which they work in tandem with local artists, designers, musicians, technologists, fashion designers, crafters and chefs to showcase the neighborhood's vibrancy.

There are five apartment types at lyf Funan Singapore, ranging from the 18-square-meter One of a Kind studio to the 105-square-meter All Together Six-Bedroom Duplex apartment. The spaces are exactly how we all wish our homes looked like, with some rooms featuring bonuses like PlayStation consoles, pull-down Murphy beds, and even Samsung Flip interactive smart screens.

“Millennial and millennial-minded travelers can look forward to a dynamic live-work-play experience given the collaborative spaces, social programs and strategic location of lyf Funan Singapore. Residents can plug into the local community and form connections with like-minded trendsetters, jet setters, business executives, technopreneurs and creatives,” says Mindy Teo, Ascott’s Deputy Managing Director of lyf. “A social hub that offers a new way to belong, we see lyf playing a key role in bringing people together to discover new possibilities, spark creative ideas and contribute to the region’s innovation landscape.”

The All Together four-bedroom apartment, which is about 70 sqm, is ideal for groups of up to six.

Instagrammers will find plenty of shareable moments around the complex. Quirky details like a life-sized hamster wheel at Burn, a giant Connect Four game set, and a ball pit, perfectly encapsulate the fun, whimsical spirit of lyf. There are also all sorts of events ranging from industry talks to neighborhood walks. Further, residents have access to the lyf app, which allows easy booking, payment and seamless access throughout the property with just a tap or swipe. The app also has a nifty messaging function which connects them to lyf Guards, who are in-the-know millennials who take on the roles of community managers and city guides in all lyf properties.

The Connect co-working space doubles as a workshop and social gathering venue.

With an incredibly central location near the National Gallery of Singapore, Fort Canning Park, and buzzing Clarke Quay neighborhood, as well as being only a five-minute walk from  City Hall MRT station, lyf Funan Singapore is ideal for digital nomads seeking short-term accommodations as well as for residents looking for long-term stays. The nine-story complex houses 412 rooms across 329 units.
