One of the most lavishly decorated hotels in Vietnam, The Reverie Saigon marries contemporary design with a sense of whimsical romance. While the amenities in the 62 suites, 224 guestrooms and 89 full-service residential-style suites are irrefutably luxurious, the lush interiors possess a timeless quality. Part of their palatial aesthetic can be attributed to the fact that some of Italy's most sought-after furnishing design brands lent their signature touch to the place.

Colombostile, an icon in luxury Italian design founded more than 130 years ago, was behind the elaborate carpentry and statement pieces such as the five-meter-long sofa in the hotel's lobby. With purple ostrich leather and gilded trim, it perfectly encapsulates the brand's fusion of Baroque and Rococo styles.

Meanwhile, Giorgetti, a family business founded in Meda in 1898, used the same artisan carpentry techniques to craft the walnut cabinet in the Panorama Suite by Giorgetti that they have been employing to serve Italian nobility for generations. Visionnaire and the Poltrana Frau Group were just a few others to create the sumptuous furnishings that lend an air of opulence to the place.

Guests at The Reverie Saigon can enjoy sweeping panoramic views of sprawling Ho Chi Minh City and the Saigon River through floor-to-ceiling windows. At 39 stories tall, the hotel boasts unparalleled vistas. Given that each of the rooms comes equipped with a top-flight Nespresso machine, an extensive pillow menu and bath amenities ranging from Chopard to Hermès and Acqua di Parma, it may be tempting simply to linger inside and soak in that stunning view for a little bit longer.

Nevertheless, The Reverie Saigon offers plenty of temptations to lure you out of your plush, private cocoon. Guests can sail on the bends of the Saigon River in the hotel's private yacht or embark on an exclusive tour of Saigon's vibrant food scene with celebrity chef Luke Nguyen.

The hotel also features other superlative gastronomic experiences at eateries including Café Cardinal, which serves everything from wok-fried lobster to fluffy buttermilk pancakes, and The Royal Pavilion, which serves sophisticated Cantonese fare with a view overlooking of Nguyen Hue Boulevard. You'll also have a hard time staying away from the R&J Italian Lounge, which offers homey, regional favorites in a setting that screams Roman palazzo.

For spa and wellness enthusiasts, the 1,200-square-meter, bi-level spa exemplifies the height of urban indulgence with treatments inspired by ancient holistic healing rituals. And to top, a resort-like, mosaic-tiled swimming pool out on the sixth floor terrace rounds out this one-of-a-kind hotel's truly spectacular features.
