With its sweeping views of the Singaporean skyline and Marina Bay Sands, JAAN is easily one of the most stunning spaces in the Lion City. Natural light from the immense windows floods the tasteful 40-seat dining room, which feels both intimate and spacious. Such a spectacular setting lends itself naturally to special occasions, which is why JAAN has long been a favored dining spot among elite locals and travellers for anniversaries, proposals, birthdays and all sorts of memorable occasions.

Yet while the restaurant’s interior may be striking, it is the cuisine that makes JAAN truly stand out. Helmed by
Chef de Cuisine Kirk Westaway, the kitchen here is a true culinary tour de force. JAAN boasts a Michelin star and impressive ranking on the prestigious Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2017 list.

After one bite, it becomes clear why chef Kirk is one of Asia’s most highly regarded chefs right now. A native of Devon in the southwest of England, chef Kirk grew up surrounded by some of the United Kingdom’s finest ingredients. As a result, he developed a deep appreciation for how premium produce can turn even the simplest of dishes into something truly memorable.

Today, chef Kirk combines superb regional ingredients with the world’s finest imported meats, cheese, and seafood with delicious results. While many of his dishes have rustic inspirations, the elegant presentations exemplify the height of fine dining. Tasting menus rotate regularly to reflect the seasons. The restaurant’s current menu features innovative dishes like fatty langoustine served with pumpkin purée and Thai curry as well as  a decadent dessert with brown butter ice cream and poached French Cox apples.
