A new look for Four Seasons Hotel Macao, Cotai Strip

As its ninth anniversary approaches, Four Seasons Hotel Macao debuts guestroom renovations that suit the modern traveler.

Published on Aug 3, 2017

In the middle of the glittering Cotai Strip, between colossal shopping centers and casinos of grandiose, the Four Seasons Hotel offers cozy, refined and, as of this month, refreshed accommodations. By conjuring images of an old, European mansion, the hotel stands in contrast to its gilded, cavernous neighbors. And just as any long-living palace would need to, the hotel, which debuted in 2008, has recently gone through renovations. Guest rooms remain simple in Four Seasons fuss-free style, yet, now feature a fresh aesthetic that nods towards modernity through bold contrasts and spacious marble bathrooms. Dark, hardwood floors make gold-accented pillows and turquoise rugs stylishly pop without sacrificing the bright, clean elegance of the room.

Though the hotel is surrounded by mega-casinos and is only a stone’s throw from The Parisian’s pseudo Eiffel Tower, the quiet, cozy rooms seem to also serve as a haven-like retreat. Just tuck yourself into the new Four Seasons Signature Sleep bed, which the brand has perfected in collaboration with Simmons Bedding Company and is customizable with three different mattress toppers, lower the blackout shades, and suddenly the buzzy city below feels far, far away. Rooms have been soundproofed with double-walled windows and top-tier bedding ensures some serious shut-eye. Rest up, a day of play in the Vegas of China awaits and you’ll need the energy to brave eager casino goers and shopping enthusiasts.
