Museo Pambata
The OverviewHands-on children’s museums are many, but the Museo Pambata is one-of-a-kind. Co-founded by the Philippines’ first female Cabinet Minister and former U.N. Ambassador Estefania Aldaba-Lim, the Pambata has a mandate to spread the word about children’s rights, literacy and health, and provide educational opportunities for Manila’s youth. Its eight exhibition rooms span nature and recycling, science and the human body, and even offer advice on how kids can manage their pocket money. Keep an eye on its Facebook group for schedules of its many planned performances— think shadow plays, folk dances and storytelling—with most taking place on Saturdays.
