The Overview

The Tour de Bintan (tourdebintan.com) is an annual cycling challenge held each November on Bintan, an Indonesian island located just an hour’s ferry ride from Singapore. Comprising of different racing categories (including a recreational division), this two-day event offers challenging routes across three stages with set time limits, covering a total of 265 kilometers across the rolling hills of Bintan. Organized by Metasport, this competition attracts professional and serious biking enthusiasts, as well as amateur cyclists from all over Asia. And whether you’re battling it out at the front or coasting along at your own pace, every rider will be rewarded with views of Bintan’s rustic, scenic landscapes—and thousands of jubilant school kids cheering you along the way.
