Blue Space Contemporary Arts Center

Blue Space Gallery was opened in 1997 on the ground floor of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum by Tran Thi Huynh Nga.
ADDRESS
97a Pho Duc Chinh St, District 1, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

The Overview

With its ocher walls and internal courtyard complete with a quaint bridge, the rambling colonial building that houses the Blue Space Contemporary Arts Center is an attraction unto itself.

Inside the 120-square-meter space, local expert Tran Thi Nguyen Nga curates a collection featuring artists from throughout Southeast Asia, from sculptures and luridly colored abstract paintings to contemporary representations of timeless Vietnamese themes: village scenes, willowy girls in ao dais and water buffaloes in the fields.
