Boryeong Mud Festival on Daecheon beach attracts over two million visitors annually with such festivities as mud wrestling, mud sliding, body painting, live music and fireworks. Visitors were initially drawn to the area because the local mud is rich in mineral deposits and reportedly offers substantial health benfits. Nowadays though, plenty of people just come to have fun and enjoy the party.
