1A Nghi Tam, Tay Ho District, Hanoi, Vietnam

The Overview

Occupying the entire mezzanine level of the InterContinental Hanoi Westlake, this latest entry into Hanoi's fine dining scene offers a two-for-one concept, as its name would suggest. Diners can choose between two very different dining rooms - modern European with orange chairs, wooden dark and a pizza oven visible in the open kitchen, or Asian rustic with its more muted, gray decor and duck oven also in an open kitchen. When it comes to ordering, however, there's no need to make a choice: diners can order off both the Italian and pan-Asian menus.

Sample the Asian fare, which offers twists on familiar dishes. We would definitely go back for the succulent stir-fried Wagyu beef in black pepper sauce and the chocolate cream with the Sichuan pepper foam.
