The Sukhothai Bangkok

Luxury Thai-style atmosphere in the heart of Bangkok, with symmetrical colonnades, reflection pools, open-air arcades, combined with the best natural materials.
ADDRESS
13/3 South Sathorn Rd., Bangkok, Thailand

The Overview

The Sukhothai hotel takes its name from the capital of Thailand's first kingdom, which means the "Dawn of Happiness" in English. The city inspired a golden age of Siamese architecture. The temples of Sukhothai emphasized their stupa and chedi as primary design features, while the palaces of Sukhothai maintained a distinct style – developments echoed in the hotel's symmetrical colonnades, reflection pools, open-air arcades, combined with the best natural materials – bronze, teakwood and marble. Together with fine fabrics and mirrors, much of the hotel's décor derives from this period. Guest accommodations are imbued with sumptuous elegance and distinctive designs, as all the rooms and suites incorporate rich Thai fabrics and teakwood furnishings, including luxurious bathrooms. Visit the Spa Botanica for a full range of massage and beauty treatments.
