The Overview

Billy Marinelli, the gregarious Long Islander behind the slim, two-story Oyster Bar is Bangkok’s shellfish kingpin—for years, he supplied the city’s five-stars with bivalves. Drop in Tuesdays and Fridays when he gets fresh shipments of oysters (Blue Points, Kumamotos, Belons and more), and squeeze in the Dungeness crab and the heavenly, pork-infused New England clam chowder. As of press time, Marinelli was cooking up a second seafood-centric eatery on Sukhumvit Soi 16.
