Pier 59

Floor-to-ceiling columns of blue neon-lit bubbling water, minimal spot lighting, a centerpiece aquarium and panorama views from the 59th floor make this restaurant as stylish and sexy its cool jazz soundtrack.
59/F, Banyan Tree Bangkok, 21/100 South Sathon Rd., Bangkok, Thailand

The Overview

The design-driven ambiance extends to the food: modern East-West cuisine with attention paid to details. Starters like blow-torched prawn with salsa and bell pepper, or salmon gravlax with quail egg, keta caviar and sour cream. Signature dishes include broiled lobster with black truffle and a champagne cream sauce; grilled snow fish with spring onions and spicy miso; and for meat eaters there's grilled Wagyu flank with seared foie gras and red miso paste. Housed in the Banyan Tree Bangkok, for a nightcap head on up to Vertigo and Moon Bar, crowning the building.
