The Overview


There’s a palpable vibe to this triple-story complex on the 34th, 35th and 36th floors of the Park Hyatt Bangkok. Stylish guests sashay past the antique motorbike at the entrance to The Grill, where steakhouse favorites are in fine form. The kitchen never strays too far from tradition, but isn’t shy about adding a contemporary touch to the classics—onion rings get a sprinkle of shichimi togarashi pepper and unctuous mac & cheese benefits from porcini and morel mushrooms. The beef is, naturally, the star of the show and hulking cuts like the Wagyu tomahawk or the Italian fiorentina-style porterhouse are formidable to behold. For a more intimate dining experience, some guests prefer the Chef’s Table. There are plenty of options here for imbibing either before or after dinner. Order a fine cigar and a 25-year Glenfarclas Highland Single Malt at the Whisky Room, sip a New Cuban, with rum, sake, lime and rhubarb-vanilla syrup topped with Champagne. Whatever you do, don’t miss the spectacular view from the Rooftop Terrace.
