Marvel at the historic treasures of the National Museum

Also known as the Museum of the Filipino People, the National Museum exhibits some excellent displays from the pre-Hispanic period including the wreck of the San Diego, a Spanish galleon from 1600, and lots of artifacts and musical instruments.

For those interested in archaeology, the museum features two permanent archaeological exhibitions. The Prehistory of the Philippines traces the geological formation of the archipelago, while Archaeological Treasures displays pottery from Palawan, and limestone urns from the Kulaman Plateau along with other exhibits.
