The Overview

Probably Penang’s most flamboyant dining venue, this restaurant at the E&O harks back to the town’s colonial past - candlelight, starched linens, silver service, and extremely attentive staff evoke an ambiance that would have made Somerset Maugham or Noel Coward feel at home. The menu presents a changing selection of poultry, meats, and fresh seafood prepared in delicate contemporary Western style, complemented by an extensive wine list, which also features single malts, brandies and champagne. High tea is served from 2.30pm-5pm daily. Indulge in a gin and tonic overlooking the pristine, manicured lawns before popping inside for supper. Men are required to wear a shirt with a collar.
