The Overview

With only seven villas set on 22,000 square meters of padi fields and palm trees, Ketapang Estate gives guests a peaceful alternative to the more developed parts of Bali. Each villa is individually designed and furnished to reflect different aspects of the island's natural scenery and culture. So Villa Karang (rock) features classically rustic stone walls, while Villa Joglo Waru pays homage to traditional Javanese architecture. Guests can unwind at Ketapang's Floating Spa or indulge at several dining outlets. The resort also arranges a wide array of diversions in the area, including horseback riding, fishing, picnics and even more unusual activities such as helicopter rides and releasing baby turtles. Then again, most guests who come here would probably rather just lay on the 300 meter black-sand beach.
