Beijing designer Xander Zhou doesn’t fit into any neat box, and neither do his clothes. Classic and unisex, Zhou’s designs include wool crepe suits, boxy jackets and tuxedo shirts that are as fitting on women as they are on men, who model his clothes most of the time. Fashion mavens can find Zhou at work at his studio in the capital’s central business district, where his clothes retail from RMB1,000 to RMB30,000.
